An on going problem that has been seen in high output, high revving Lotus Twin Cam engines is a failure of the oil pump casting (see photo below). Here at Initracing we have found that by removing the very heavy cast iron end cover and fitting a light weight end cover has help reduce the mass and frequency of the pump there by reducing the problem.
